My Big List Of Fantastic Montana Restaurants I’ve Never Tried
We were chatting this past weekend about our favorite restaurants in Montana, and I realized I need to take more road trips. There are so many "favorite" restaurants that I've never tries. This, needs to be addressed.
This list was put together by friends and co-workers. Our picks for some of Montana's Best Restaurants is nothing official. Some are upscale, and some are dive bars.
We just wanted to make a list of everyone's favorite place to eat across Montana. There were no rules - it just had to be delicious. The following restaurants are the ones that I personally had not tried yet.
Good restaurant reviews from people you already trust is perhaps the best way to find a fantastic place to eat when you're on the road in Montana. Not to mention a few great places you haven't tried in your hometown.
- Wassweiler Dinner House and Mercantile (Helena, MT)
- SMOKED. American Barbecue (Great Falls, MT)
- Firehole BBQ Company (West Yellowstone, MT)
Bitterroot Bistro (Bozeman, MT)
Now, keep in mind that all the great restaurants that I HAVE been to, are not on this list. But gathering all these suggestions of great places to eat will be a great resource for our next Montana road trip.

It's fun to hear about other people's favorite places to eat - many of them are not fancy, upscale places. Heck, many of them were BBQ joints.
- Black Iron Grill Rotisserie (Miles City, MT)
- Lolo Creek Steakhouse (Lolo, MT)
- Great Bear Café (Hungry Horse, MT)
- The Marble Table (Billings, MT)
- Vino & Brews (Lewistown, MT)
- Coyote Lanes and Roadrunner Café (Shelby, MT) I couldn't even find a proper website or even an official Facebook page for this place, but my friend loves it and the Google Reviews are impressive. Makes me want to head to Shelby even sooner!)
