By Friday night, we could see 6 fresh inches of snow in the higher elevations of several Montana counties.

From Homestake Pass in southwest Montana all the way north to Browning and East Glacier, a Winter Storm Watch threatens with "heavy snow at times" with up to 6 inches of snow by Friday night.

Depending on the county, the Winter Weather Watches are for areas above 5,000 or 5,500 feet. This could be wet, heavy snow making travel difficult through the passes.
