Several inches of snow will cover the mountain passes surrounding Bozeman this weekend with slick road conditions developing.

According to the National Weather Service:

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 8 PM THIS EVENING TO 8 PM SUNDAY ABOVE 6500 FEET.

  • WHAT...Snow expected above 6500 feet.
  • Total snow accumulations of 2 to 6 inches on mountain passes, including the West Yellowstone area.
  • WHERE...Beaverhead, Madison and Gallatin.
  • WHEN...From 8 PM Saturday to 8 PM MST Sunday.
  • IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions.
  • Brief periods of heavy snow may develop Sunday afternoon, causing locally severe driving conditions.
  • Slow down and use caution while traveling.
