Another layer of snow, along with gusty winds, are headed to southwest Montana with several inches of snow possible in the valleys and up to 10" possible in the mountains.

Heavy snow and high winds are expected over all southwest Montana passes Friday night and most of Saturday. Travel could be dangerous at times.

Snow continues to fall around Gallatin County and the highest elevations may get up to a foot of fresh snow by Sunday night.

A mid March storm is headed for SW Montana and the highest elevations could get up to 10 fresh inches of snow, with at least a few inches expected in the valleys.

All of these Montana closing dates are subject to change at each ski resort's discretion, depending on end of season snow conditions and other factors. Several Montana areas have flexibility in their closing dates.

Gusty winds up to 60 MPH will be an issue for Livingston, Springdale, and other areas on the I-90 corridor until Wednesday night.

Very gusty winds continue between Bozeman and Billings with Wind Advisories for places like Big Timber. Gusts up to 60 mph are possible.

Lots of fresh snow and gusty winds will continue through Monday morning with up to 18" of snow accumulating at high elevations.

Several inches of snow will cover the mountain passes surrounding Bozeman this weekend with slick road conditions developing.

Southwest Montana is covered in white. Snow continues with the Red Lodge area under a Winter Weather Advisory all day Thursday.

By Friday morning we could have a fresh foot of snow in town with up to 28" in the mountains.

Several inches of fresh snow have already fallen in the Bozeman city limits on Sunday with more to come. By Sunday night, 6" of accumulation is widely expected in town with up to a foot of fresh snow in the higher elevations.
