Several inches of fresh snow have already fallen in the Bozeman city limits on Sunday with more to come. By Sunday night, 6" of accumulation is widely expected in town with up to a foot of fresh snow in the higher elevations.

According to the National Weather Service:

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT TONIGHT.

  • WHAT...Snow occurring. Additional snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches at lower elevations, and 6 to 12 inches in the mountains.
  • Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.
  • WHERE...Gallatin, Beaverhead and Madison.
  • WHEN...Until midnight tonight.
  • IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Patchy blowing snow
    could reduce visibility.
  • Slow down and use caution while traveling.
  • The latest road conditions can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.
