Wind chill factors have been an issue all weekend and will continue to be serious through Sunday evening and Monday morning. Wind chills of 25 below zero are possible with blowing and drifting snow on the roadways.
The I-90 corridor from Bozeman to Billings is experiencing very gusty winds and dangerous wind chills. Several counties are under a Winter Weather Advisory through Monday morning.
Just about every county east of Billings (north to south) is under a Wind Chill Advisory tonight and tomorrow morning with temps possibly reaching -30 to -40 with the wind chill.
Already dangerous temperatures in southwest and central Montana are wreaking havoc on commutes. With another full day of brutal cold, the Billings area is under a Wind Chill Advisory until noon on Thursday.
The Bozeman area will be extremely cold Tuesday night and Wednesday morning with some areas experiencing wind chills of -25 degrees. People and pets will be at risk for hypothermia.
