This “Fairly Friendly” Nigerian Dwarf Goat Near Livingston Needs a New Home
I've always wanted a goat. Can't explain it. Don't you just love this guy? He's free to a good home as the owners need to thin their herd in Emigrant.
First things first: Here is the official Craigslist listing for the FREE Nigerian Dwarf Goat.

Something important that I learned about goats is that they literally are 'herd animals'. That seems so obvious until you consider getting yourself just one pet goat. They really prefer to have at least one other goat friend so make sure you're prepared for the endeavor.
So what's the lowdown on this cute dude? Here's what the Craigslist listing says:
Free buck, he’s two years old and is a medium statured Nigerian Dwarf. He sired triplets last year, and has a fairly friendly disposition. We just need to downsize our herd and want him to go to a good home.
You can come get him, or we will deliver him to you if you live within the Livingston or Bozeman area for a small handling/fuel fee.
Nigerian Dwarf goats are pretty small so you don't need a ranch to have them. With that said, only people who know what they're doing and have an appropriate amount of safe, fenced space should consider having them.
According to Wikipedia, you'll need about 135 square feet (12.5 m2) of space per goat that you have in your herd. Males (like this guy) are typically 19–23.5 inches in height. Yeah, they're pretty cute.
Something else to consider: Nigerian Dwarf goats can live 10 to 15 years. This guy is only two years old so make sure you can make a commitment to raise him properly for that length of time.
